All donated gifts were delivered to Age Cymru with the sole purpose of spreading a little festive cheer to older people who can often feel isolated during the Christmas period.

Age Cymru’s Michael Phillips said, “Our job is to reach out to those older people in our community who experience social isolation. At Christmas, we organise a huge Christmas party complete with a roast dinner, games, songs and general merriment, however our funds do not stretch to being able to purchase presents for each individual. Therefore Tata Steel’s employee campaign to collect presents for the older people in our community is a fantastic idea and certainly helped to bring some extra festive cheer to them over Christmas, as well as making them feel valued and loved.”

Sharon House, Centre Co-ordinator at Age Cymru Afan Nedd in Port Talbot added: I would like to thank the Tata Steel employees for their kindness in providing our clients with so many lovely gifts.  They were all very pleased and I know each gift was gratefully received.”
