Steel's leading role at the Green Economy Conference

Two of Tata Steel's senior managers join impressive panels to talk about the circular economy and opportunities for the Celtic Freeport and renewable energy at tomorrow's Green Economy Conference and Exhibition in the Swansea Arena.

In the first session of the conference Tata Steel's Professor Debbie Baldry, Director Steel and Materials Institute, joins Gary Walpole CEIC Wales, Ruth Marie Mackrodt, Wool Insulation Wales Ltd, Rob Poyer Nappicycle & Natural UK, and James Dovey Blueprint, to talk about the circular economy.

Later on, Kamal Rajput, Strategic Business Development Lead, will be joined by Abi Beck, RenewableUK Cymru; Tom Sawyer, Port of Milford Haven and Celtic Freeport; Andrew Hartson, ABP; Joseph Kidd, Hiraeth Energy and Marine Energy Wales; and Arwyn Williams, Pembrokeshire college, to talk about the renewables sector: The conference organisers say: "There are huge ambitions for South West Wales renewable energy sector. Our expert panel will discuss why the Celtic Freeport will be transformational, and how to maximise the benefits of renewables projects for local communities and the regional economy."

The Green Economy Conference is an opportunity for businesses and organisations to come together from across Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire, Swansea and Neath Port Talbot, to share knowledge and co-create a resilient future. With five insightful panel discussions and over 70 regional exhibitors, it will be a busy day of networking, learning and connecting!
