The Technical team at Tata Steel weathered the storm extremely well, a rare highlight of 2020 that many of our customers will have had reason to be grateful for. The team have all worked effortlessly to make sure our Continuing Professional Development (CPDs) programme continues uninterrupted and remains accessible for architectural and engineering practices.
It is unlikely that any of us will ever again see market conditions like we experienced last year, but many should be congratulated for having risen to the unique challenges thrown up by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In April we streamlined our offering of in-house and RIBA approved CPDs and these were moved to live on-line presentations delivered via Microsoft Teams or Skype for business, although other platforms can be considered.
Tata Steel’s Peter Baker said:
“The fact that the seminars are now online hasn’t slowed demand, and these challenging times have meant that CPD training is needed even more than ever to maintain momentum. We have also noticed a wider selection of construction professionals requesting seminars, including architects wanting to learn more about the structural products that we produce.”
Our well-known metal decking CPDs - ‘Composite floor deck in construction’ and ‘Roof deck in construction’ - continue to be in great demand. The comprehensive free seminars last approximately 50 minutes, ideally for a minimum of 4 attendees with a Q&A session. Presentations can be tailored to suit individual requirements or projects to ensure the appropriate level of technical content is provided.
