A leading Welsh landscaping firm is gearing up for significant growth following a major investment from Tata Steel subsidiary UKSE.
Inscapes, based in Bridgend, has received a £100,000 boost and is set to create 40 new jobs over the next three years.
Building on Success
With an impressive portfolio featuring some of the UK’s top visitor attractions, Inscapes has established itself as a key player in the landscaping industry. The company recently acquired Cardiff-based Landcraft and plans to expand its workforce to 120 employees while increasing turnover from £9.5 million to £15 million.
Managing Director Gareth Rees highlighted the company’s strong order book and commitment to quality:
“Our reputation has been built on excellent service, high-quality work, and our ability to tackle complex projects.”
One such high-profile project was the relaying of the lawn at Parliament Square, a demanding task due to its location above the Jubilee Line. Inscapes’ expertise was recognised with a BALI Principal Landscape Award in 2023.
A Growing Portfolio
Inscapes has delivered exceptional landscaping at venues such as Plymouth Argyle FC, Bristol City FC, Eastleigh FC, Ffos Las Racecourse, Kew Gardens, Hampton Court Palace, The Celtic Manor, and The Vale Resort.
Since its launch in 1998, Inscapes has grown from a sports and commercial landscaping firm in Bridgend to operating across the UK, with bases in Surrey, Hertfordshire, and Shrewsbury. The firm offers artificial surfaces, maintenance, arboriculture, and irrigation services.
UKSE Investment Driving Growth
The investment is part of UKSE’s Support Programme for Wales, designed to support businesses affected by the transition to greener steel-making at Port Talbot. Since its launch, the programme has invested £3 million in 81 Welsh businesses, creating an estimated 400 jobs.
Alan Jenkins, UKSE Regional Executive, expressed his support:
“Inscapes’ expertise and acquisition of Landcraft position them for significant growth. We’re delighted to invest in their future and the jobs they’re creating.”
With a solid foundation and a clear vision for the future, Inscapes is poised for continued success, strengthening its reputation as a leader in the UK landscaping sector.
